How to use the feelings chart 

• Read it as a one-page book at bedtime
• After reading, ask your child how their day was 
• Let them emote on the chart using their colours 
• Wipe and repeat the next day 
• Gradually, your child will be able to recognise and match their feelings on their own  
• At any time, if your child begins to fuss, gently nudge the little one to recall how their animal friend emoted or what did they do 
• Do this regularly, until communication about feelings is easy for both, you and your little one
