How To Use This Product?

Goal
The first player or team to reach 10 wins the round.

How to play?

  • Put all the playing tokens in the pouch. Shake it well.
    Close your eyes and pick one token.
  • Read it. Put it back in the pouch. Shake it well.
  • If the token shows a number, pick that many rods and stack them one on top of the other against your board.
  • Then say: “I have ___ rods (count your rods). I need ___ rods to reach 10 (count the empty spaces).” A grown-up can help say this together.
  • Everyone tickles you if you forget to say this line. (Tickles are optional.)
  • You’re learning addition. You could reinforce it by saying, "___ + ___ = 10."
  • If you pick a Math Action token, pick a MATH ACTION card.
  • Everyone does the action together, or one by one.
  • If a number would take you over 10, do not place the rods. Keep taking turns until you pick the exact number you need to reach 10. For example, if you have 8 rods, you need 2 rods to reach 10. If you pick 3, 4, or 5, you cannot use it because that would
    be more than 10. Wait until you pick a 1 or a 2.
